Attraverso un aggiornamento della sua pagina Facebook, Steve Vai ha annunciato l’uscita per il prossimo 7 Aprile del suo nuovo album live, che sarà disponibile in doppio CD e doppio DVD.
“Stillness In Motion – Vai Live In L.A.” è il primo frutto del nuovo contratto firmato dal chitarrista americano con Sony Music Entertainment e Legacy Recordings, e contiene la performance registrata il 12 Ottobre 2012 al Club Nokia di Los Angeles.
Oltre all’intero concerto, il doppio DVD include un bonus disc con la premiere assoluta di “The Space Between The Notes (Tour Mischief)”, una sorta di documentario con oltre tre ore e mezza di filmati che raccontano tutti i retroscena del Story Of Light World Tour.

Il live, in uscita il prossimo 3 Giugno tramite Frontiers Records verrà pubblicato in 3 differenti edizioni: set di 2 CD, DVD ed il combo 2 CD + DVD e mostrerà la band in una delle sue migliori esibizioni dal vivo il 18 Agosto 1990 al  Monsters Of Rock di Donington.

Il gruppo si esibì di fronte ad un palco di oltre 70.000 persone con una formazione da sogno che vedeva Steve Vai e Adrian Vandenberg alle chitarre, Rudy Sarzo al basso, Tommy Aldridge alla batteria e la voce incredibile dello storico David Coverdale.

Colpo di coda per il serpente bianco ad una settimana dall’uscita del loro ultimo Forevermore (a breve la recensione), che grazie alla Frontiers Records, pubblicherà il 2 giugno l’ormai storico Live at Donington del 1990 in 3 differenti edizioni, set di 2 CD, DVD ed il combo 2 CD + DVD.

Il 18 Agosto 1990, segnò per i Whitesnake una delle loro più leggendarie esibizioni dal vivo al Monsters Of Rock di Donington (adesso conosciuto come Download).
