Il leggendario chitarrista tedesco Michael Schenker ha effettuato lo scorso 11 Giugno uno speciale show allo Sweden Rock Festival, invitando tre cantanti storici della formazione degli MSG, ovvero Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet e Robin McAuley, con la line-up completata da Ted McKenna alla batteria, Chris Glen al basso e Steve Mann alla chitarra e tastiere.

Nei player sotto postati è possibile vedere un paio di filmati amatoriali che riprendono la performance del guitar hero.

Uscirà il 6 Maggio il nuovo annunciato DVD dal titolo “On A Mission – Live In Madrid” dei Temple Of Rock di Michael Schenker.

Il live – come da titolo – è quello registrato il 19 Novembre 2015 al Joy Eslava di Madrid e sarà disponibile anche in versione CD e Blu-ray tramite Inakustik.

La band che affianca il guitar hero tedesco è composta da Doogie White alla voce, Wayne Findley alla chitarra e tastiere, Francis Buchholz al basso e Herman Rarebell alla batteria.

Il chitarrista tedesco Michael Schenker presenzierà al prossimo Sweden Rock (Sölvesborg 8-11 Giugno 2016) con uno spettacolo molto speciale, già nominato Michael Schenker Fest, che sarà caratterizzato dalla partecipazione di tre cantanti originali degli MSG come Gary Barden, Graham Bonnet e Robin McAuley.

A completare la formazione ci saranno poi Ted McKenna alla batteria, Chris Glen al basso e Steve Mann alla chitarra e tastiere.

Secondo quanto riportato dal sito Michael Schenker News And Tour Information, sarà David Van Landing il nuovo cantante della band di Michael Schenker per il tour nord americano della band che inizierà il prossimo 3 Ottobre a Modesto, California. David sostituirà Robin McAuley, che recentemente si era riunito con Schenker per il primo tour insieme al chitarrista tedesco dopo quasi 20 anni.

La line up del tour sarà quindi la seguente:

Michael Schenker (chitarra), Van Landing (Voce), Pete Holmes (batteria), Wayne Findlay (chitarra) e Elliott Rubinson (basso).

Lasciati i Surivivor, il cantante Robin McAuley si è riunito alla formazione di Michael Schenker ridando di fatto vita al progetto McAuley Schenker Group.

La band inizierà un tour americano, che partirà il 15 febbraio e avrà termine il 24 marzo, con questa formazione:

Questi sono gli ingredienti della ricetta Strangers in The Night, il supergruppo che prossimamente farà vibrare i nostri cuori Rocker…

Sicuramente la formazione degli Strangers in the night è una delle più strepitose che si siano viste negli ultimi tempi, reputo Michael Voss semplicemente una delle più belle voci Hard Rock in circolazione e sulla chitarra di Michael Schenker c’è ben poco da dire, fantastico, dopo la sua breve apparizione con gli Scorpions (nei soli album Lonesome Crow e Lovedrive) intraprende una straordinaria carriera con gli Ufo e con il suo Michael Schenker Group.

La canzone intitolata Saturday Night non fa gridare al miracolo, ma lascia comunque intuire tutte le immense potenzialità di questo quartetto fuori dall’ordinario che al momento sembra stia registrando un album in studio che dovrebbe vedere la luce all’inizio del 2011.
