MR: Vorresti presentare i Miss Behaviour ai rockers italiani?
MB: La storia della band parte dal 2003. Henrik ed io avevamo l’ ambizione di creare una band influenzata dai grandi gruppi di rock melodico degli anni 80 come i Foreigner, Toto, Europe e così via, ma con un tocco moderno. Abbiamo pubblicato il nostro album di debutto “heart of midwinter” nel 2006, ma la nostra svolta é stata “last woman standing” nel 2011. Mentre realizzavamo “last woman standing” abbiamo reclutato il cantante Sebastian Roos, che era già un singer piuttosto conosciuto in Svezia. Credo che la chiave del successo di “last woman standing” sia il duro lavoro che ci abbiamo messo sia nel songwriting sia nella produzione, ma anche il modo in cui Henrik, io, e Seb lavoriamo insieme, creiamo la Santissima trinità di questa band. Questa volta con “double agent” siamo ancora di più una band solida con la sezione ritmica di Niclas e Magnus come membri permanenti. Abbiamo prima invitato Niclas Lindblom (basso), e Magnus Jacobsson (drums) a suonare con noi per il primo tour britannico. É stato un successo immediato. É stato come se suonassimo insieme da anni dopo la prima canzone. Sono entrambi molto abili e professionali, e soprattutto sono estremamente divertenti quando si esce insieme.

MB: Thank you so much for having us Alessandro!

MR: Would you like to introduce Miss Behaviour to the italian rockers?
MB: The history of the band goes back to 2003. Henrik and myself had an ambition to create a band, influenced by the great melodic rock bands from the 80s like Foreigner, Toto, Europe and such, but with a modern touch. We released our debut album „Heart of Midwinter“ in 2006 but our break through album was „Last Woman Standing“ in 2011. While making „Last Woman Standing“ we recruited the vocalist Sebastian Roos, who was allready a quite well known singer in Sweden. I think the key to the success with „Last Woman Standing“ was the hard work we put down on both song writing and production, but also the way Henrik, me and Seb work together, creating the holy trinity of this band so to speak. This time, with „Double Agent“ we are even more of a solid band, with our rythm section Niclas and Magnus as permanent members. We first invited Niclas Lindblom (Bass) and Magnus Jacobsson (drums) to rehearsal with us for the first UK-tour. It was an immediate success. It felt like we had been playing together for years after the first song. They are both very skilled and professional musicians and most important of all, they are extremely fun to hang out with.

Un’altra band svedese, un’altra band giovane, e un altro ottimo album. Loro sono i Miss Behaviour e come già anticipato, provengono dalla Svezia ormai diventata la culla dell’aor/melodic rock di alta classe. Il nuovo album rilasciato tramite Avenue Of Allies si intitola Last Woman Standing e vede un cambiamento significativo nella line up rispetto al precedente debutto Heart Of Midwinter del 2007: oltre ai due fondatori Henrik Sproge (tastiere) ed Erik Heikne (chitarre), si aggiungono alla band il cantante e bassista Sebastian Roos e il batterista Anders Berlin per un risultato davvero sorprendente. Grazie a questi nuovi innesti, la band sembra aver trovato un giusto equilibrio rispetto al precendete platter non proprio esaltante, dando alla luce un album che, pur attingendo molto dalla scena musicale scandinava e pur non mancando di fare il doveroso tributo alle band storiche del genere (specie per quanto riguarda il lavoro corposo delle tastiere) riesce comunque a non risultare scontato, banale o “vecchio”.
