L’utente di YouTube Robert Moseley ha condiviso un clip dell’intera performance del 9 Gennaio 2020 del frontman dei Van Halen, David Lee Roth, alla House Of Blues di Mandalay Bay, che faceva parte della sua Las Vegas Residency.

“Aiuto! Ho uno stalker! Uno vero”, ha scritto il cantante dei Van Halen, David Lee Roth, in un blog del 29 Settembre sul suo sito ufficiale. “75 telefonate negli ultimi quattro mesi e tutte alle 5:30-6:00 del mattino, ma mai nel weekend. Le chiamate compaiono sul mio vecchio telefono ma non si presentano sulla bolletta”.

Il vocalist si è rivolto ad alcuni professionisti del settore per cercare di risolvere il fastidioso problema.

Anche lo storico singer dei Van Halen augura a tutti Buone Feste e si concede l’interpretazione di un brano natalizio, corredato da un video divertente.

Secondo quanto dichiarato da David Lee Roth in un’intervista a FasterLouder, i Van Halen sarebbero pronti a iniziare le registrazioni del successore di “A Different Kind Of Truth” già quest’estate, per un uscita prevista fra non meno di 2-3 anni:

“…We are going to be getting together, not this month, at the end of June to start preparing for some new recording and some new songs, but we’re touring a little bit this year. That’s kind of a surprise. We’re in Australia, we’re doing a Japan tour for a couple of weeks, and we’re doing some American stuff. That comes as a bit of a surprise. Van Halen projects are a bit like James Bond movies. They come around about once every three-and-a-half years. Any sooner and it’s like, “Weren’t you just here?” It’s like that third Johnny Depp pirate movie [Pirates Of The Caribbean]. Weren’t you guys just here? Oh, that’s a rough one right. Leave before the sun sets, quit just before the party begins to disintegrate, don’t be the first one back in next week. We’ve been around for so long that that is a deft kind of a tactic. And there’s politics. So with that in mind I imagine we’ll be doing extensive touring and travelling outside the United States after this upcoming tour.

We plan ahead by about two-and-a-half years in advance, which sounds extravagant … [But] from the time you go, “Let’s start to write some songs”, until all of the machines of production and humanity kick in, things move achingly slow. Achingly slow. Especially if you are art-centric, if you want something to last, it’s going to take a long time to put it all together. Quick up is quick down. We know about one hit wonders and we know about fast, but it’s about three years, it takes about three years…”

Secondo quanto dichiarato da David Lee Roth durante l’Opie & Anthony Show, i Van Halen potrebbero tornare ad esibirsi in Europa verso la fine del 2013, specificando 50-60 date fuori dagli Stati Uniti.

La sfortuna (e non solo..) continua a tormentare i Van Halen e la loro recente reunion con il cantante David Lee Roth. E’ di oggi la notizia che Eddie Van Halen, storico chitarrista della formazione, è stato sottoposto ad un intervento chirurgico d’urgenza a causa di una diverticolite.

Il musicista dovrà stare a riposo dai quattro ai sei mesi, fatto questo che ha costretto il gruppo a rimandare al 2013 le date giapponesi previste per il novembre 2012.

In una recente intervista a USA Today, Eddie Van Halen ha commentato riguardo lo spostamento di gran parte delle date estive del tour dei Van Halen.

“Abbiamo richiesto a noi stessi molto più di quanto potessimo realmente dare. Questo album ci ha sottratto molte energie,” ha detto il chitarrista. “E siamo andati in tour molto tempo prima di quanto volessimo, così dopo la data al Madison Square Garden ci prederemo questa pausa spostando le altre date.”

I Van Halen hanno annunciato di aver posticipato ben 30 date del loro tour. Più precisamente, la band continuerà a esibirsi fino al 26 giugno, poi tutto il resto è da valutare visto che gli appuntamenti successivi sono stati eliminati senza spiegazioni dal sito ufficiale, e quindi anche dalla prevendita.

E, mentre su vnhd.com viene precisato che le date non sono state annullate ma solo rimandate a data da destinarsi, come sempre in questi casi fermentano le supposizioni che vogliono Eddie Van Halen nuovamente in (seria) lite con David Lee Roth. Saranno solo voci?
