Il prossimo 11 Giugno, Joe Elliott e compagni pubblicheranno via UMe/Virgin Def Leppard – Volume Three, un nuovo box set in limited edition.

Si tratta del terzo di quattro volumi annunciati dalla band e sarà disponibile sia in vinile da 180 g che in cofanetti di CD. Saranno presenti tutte le registrazioni del gruppo negli anni Duemila. Ad oggi, X, Yeah! e Songs From The Sparkle Lounge non erano mai stati disponibili in vinile.

Gli album sono stati masterizzati da Ronan McHugh e Joe Elliott al Joe’s Garage, con l’assistenza di Andy Pearce e Greg Moore. Contenuti in scatole rigide, i set contengono anche un libro con copertina rigida con foto rare di Ross Halfin e note di Paul Elliott di Classic Rock Magazine. Anche i membri della band, Joe Elliott, Rick Savage, Rick Allen e Phil Collen hanno contribuito personalmente.

Def Leppard – Volume Three contiene per primo l’album X del 2002, che è stata la sesta release consecutiva ad arrivare nella Top 20 della classifica Billboard 200 e che contiene brani come Now, Four Letter Word e Long Long Way To Go. Ci sarà poi Yeah! del 2006, il primo cover album del gruppo, contenente una raccolta dei pezzi preferiti della formazione inglese ri-registrati con l’iconico Leppard sound. Incluso anche il decimo studio album dei Def Leppard, Songs From The Sparkle Lounge, pubblicato nel 2008, che ha segnato il ritorno della band al suo sound caratteristico e ha raggiunto la Top 10 su entrambe le sponde dell’Atlantico; il full-length conteneva l’hit-single Nine Lives, caratterizzato dalla collaborazione con la leggenda del Country, vincitore di un Grammy Award, Tim McGraw.

Sono infine compresi B-Sides, Yeah! Studio Covers e Yeah! Live. Questi album sono stati compilati appositamente da Joe Elliott per questa versione in edizione limitata. B-Sides contiene una rara compilation di B-Side che non sono mai apparse su vinile prima d’ora. Yeah! Studio Covers presenta una serie di cover inedite mai sentiti prima su vinile. Yeah! Live è una raccolta di registrazioni dal vivo di cover, che comprende canzoni da Yeah! del 2006 e brani live inediti degli ultimi 30 anni.
