Whitesnake: annunciato Unzipped, raccolta di materiale acustico

Gli Whitesnake hanno annunciato l’uscita per il 19 Ottobre di Unzipped, una raccolta di rare e inedite performance acustiche registrate negli ultimi due decenni.

Unzipped sarà disponibile in numerosi formati, incluso CD singolo, CD doppio, vinile doppio, streaming e formati elettronici, oltre ad un boxset di cinque CD/DVD Super Deluxe. Quest’ultimo includerà anche Starkers In Tokyo, release uscita originariamente solo in Giappone nel 1997, che farà il suo debutto nel Nord America in questo pacchetto.

Il Disc One contiene il materiale più recente dei dischi Good To Be Bad e Forevermore, oltre a brani come Love Is Blind dall’album solista di Coverdale del 2000, Into The Light. Tutte e 11 le tracce del primo disco saranno disponibili in tutti i formati.

Il Disc Two contiene Starkers In Tokyo, un album selezionato da un concerto unplugged che Coverdale e il chitarrista Adrian Vandenberg hanno suonato a Tokyo nel 1997. Qui sono toccati un po’ tutti i momenti della carriera di David, dai suoi giorni nei Deep Purple (Soldier Of Fortune) ai suoi album solisti (Too Many Tears), fino ai suoi successi con gli Whitesnake (Here I Go Again, Is This Love). Il disco di Starkers sarà disponibile su doppio CD e doppio LP, in aggiunta al materiale del Disc One.

Il DVD incluso nella versione Super Deluxe contiene un insieme di esibizioni dal vivo unplugged provenienti da tutto il mondo, tra cui uno spettacolo acustico completo registrato alla Cutting Room di New York nel 2008 e il video del concerto di Starkers In Tokyo, remixato in 5.1 e Stereo. Completano il disco interviste e filmati bootleg.
